Linden honey is produced both in the plains and in the Apennine areas at altitudes of almost 1500 meters. It is obtained from the flowers of the homonymous plant and is harvested in the period between May and July. The linden nectar has a very aromatic characteristic, the color is clear and the taste returns a fresh, sweet but still persistent flavor. Sometimes it is found naturally mixed with chestnut or honeydew honey.
